Obituaries

Kimberli “Kimbi” Lynne Manning, a resident of the Brock Home, born September 5, 1988 in Colorado Springs, CO went home to eternity Saturday, January 2, 2010, after a long illness.

Kim’s final days were spent surrounded by her twin sister, family, and friends, who loved her so dearly.  In Kim’s 21 years of life, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.  She had a giant smile, big dimples, and laughter that warmed a room.

With Kimbi’s passing let us be reminded to celebrate each day of our lives with this motto:  Live well, laugh often, and love much. You will remain in our hearts forever, Ms. Kimba.   

Kimberli leaves behind her mother, Paula (Hastings) Manning of Rockhill, SC, her father and step-mother, James and Michelle Manning of Tallmadge, OH; 2 sisters, Ashli Manning, her twin, and Chrissy Manning; 4 brothers, Jimmy, Donovan, Devon, and Derek; maternal grandparents, Lois and Ed Michaelson of Florida; paternal grandparents, John and Daisy Manning and Tom and Helga Andonian, all of Ohio; as well as aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.

She also leaves behind an extended family of people who provided her with dignity and love in her life and also in her death: the many wonderful caregivers and her guardian, Peggy Crisman, who supported her by enhancing the quality of her life; all the doctors and nurses who cared for her during her recent months of illness, the aides, teachers, and therapists from the Pittsfield and Manchester school districts, and the Monarch School of New England in Rochester.

She was predeceased by her adoptive mother, Andrea Brock who died in 2009 and by her uncle, Johann Manning.
