Peter was born in Concord on April 18, 1946, the son of the late Ronald Gloddy and Marjorie (Simmons) Gloddy of Wareham, MA.
Mr. Gloddy was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War and had been a member of the Army Reserves. He had been employed as a diesel mechanic for the US Army, Corps of Engineers at Grenier Field in Manchester.
He loved spending time with his family and outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and tinkering with cars.
He is survived by his wife, Jean E. (Crocker) Gloddy or Pembroke; 8 children, Peter Prescott of Northfield, Pamela McLaughlin of Gilford, Kimberly Rosmey of East Taunton, MA, Peter Gloddy of Tiverton, RI, Teri Lyons of Rockland, MA, Gloria Van Nostrand of Providence, RI, Cheryl Gagnon of Epsom, and Lisa Montgomery of Concord; siblings, John Evans of Springfield, MO, Ronald, Wayne, and Robert Gloddy, and Darlene Bunting; and many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorial donations should be made to Brain Injuries Association of NH, 109 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301. Visitation: Friends and family may call at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy. in Epsom on Thursday beginning at 11 AM. Service: Services will take place at 1 PM, followed by burial in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 2:30 PM. Pastor Gary Cote of the Merrimack Valley Church in Epsom will officiate. |
