Mrs. Myrna (Hemeon) Bartlett, 80, died peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2010, at Havenwood Health Care Center in Concord after her recent diagnosis with esophageal cancer.

Born in Oakland, CA on December 7, 1929, to Robert A. and Myrtle (Leutholtz) Hemeon, Myrna moved to Pittsfield in 1938 and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1948.

She was working at the Lorna Doone Restaurant on the Epsom Traffic Circle, when she met Robert Bartlett, whom she later married in 1950.  A nurturing mother and homemaker, she took over Bartlett Construction and Circle Oil in 1970 at the time of her husband’s death.  Myrna moved to the “Old Home” in Lincolnville, ME 26 years ago, where she loved to sit at the kitchen table looking out at Penobscot Bay and anticipating visits from family and friends.

Mrs. Bartlett is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Martel of Epsom, her son, William Bartlett of Lincolnville, ME, and her daughter, Allyson Stalvey of Watkinsville, GA; 9 grandchildren, Derek Martel and his wife Amy, Robert Martel and his wife Amy, Jennifer Chislett and her husband Glen, Jody Chappelle,  Karen Martel, Amy Bartlett, Samantha Bartlett, Tyler Stalvey, and Josiah Bartlett; great grandchildren, Katie, Erin, Abram, Addisen, Bailey and Jaslyn; sister-in-law, Frances Marston of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.
